James is a professional freelance photographer located in the San Francisco Bay Area. He is currently working on a collection of different series of fine art prints revisiting older alternative processing methods in photography. He finds the physical ritual and element of chance involved in these techniques to be the perfect antidote to the hyper-digitalization of photography today.
Other series that have exhibited earlier in his career will be shown on this site and prints will soon be made available.
He has been featured in Popular Photography magazine, and his work can be seen in a large number of publications (Entertainment Weekly, San Francisco Chronicle) and in use for commercial clients (Ghirardelli Square, University of Virginia). His fine art photography has been shown in galleries in California, Virginia and Washington. He got his start in photography while working for three months in Cambodia volunteering for a number of international relief and development organizations, such as CARE and Save the Children. He remains passionate about both travel and humanitarian issues. Please feel free to contact him with any questions about his work: his website is www.88zero.com. His email is: james@88zero.com.
